Greater Insights into the Rehabilitation of the Rotational Athlete
Course Description
In this exciting, course you will be exposed to insights into improve accuracy of diagnosis and treatment of the rotational athlete. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn techniques to address limitations in range of motion and pain as well as current concepts in adjunctive treatment techniques which can be immediately incorporated into practice. This population presents unique and complex dysfunctions that results in often vague and misleading symptomology. There is a rise in severity and rate of injury in this unique classification of athletes. This course was designed to help improve effective identification and treatment of the rotational athlete.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the role of biomechanics in injury and injury prevention in rotational athletes
- Select appropriate the questions and tests that make up an efficient and effective musculoskeletal screen for the rotational athlete
- Assess readiness for return to work/sports and identify risk factors that would place the athlete at a greater probability of injury
- Design a treatment plan for the rotational athlete that utilizes evidence-based interventions based on the assessment findings
