Introduction to Home Modification
Course Description
This 1st of a 3 part home modification webinar series is an introductory course for clinicians treating patients who are expected to make the transition to home after hospitalization or possibly rehabilitation facilities. It will describe the concepts of Aging in Place, Universal Design, legislation and regulatory guidelines involved in the home modifications process.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
1) Identify the concepts of Aging in Place and Universal Design.
2) Identify the concepts of what constitutes Home Modifications, High Tech and Low Tech Devices
3) Verbalize the legislation around home modifications.
