There is not a more repetitive motion in sports than someone hitting a tennis ball. There is not a more “unnatural” motion in sports than hitting a golf ball. Even though these are non-contact sports, the human body goes through a tremendous amount of strain when participating at any level. This is a 2- hour webinar designed for physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, athletic trainers, certified strength and conditioning specialists & personal trainers. It will help you broaden your scope of knowledge of how to prevent, identify and treat a variety of tennis and golf injuries. It is a must for all strength coaches to improve their client’s performance as well as reduce risk of injury while training.
Method of instruction will include written materials and demonstrative videos. After completion of this webinar, the healthcare provider will be proficient and have a broader knowledge base of how to successfully treat a variety of golf and tennis injuries including Golfer’s Elbow, Tennis Elbow, Rotator Cuff Issues, Lower Back Pain, Hip Restrictions, Cervical Limitations and various knee pathologies. The clinician will have a plan of how to PREVENT, IDENTIFY and TREAT these issues. This course is relevant to any clinician who has active patients or clients that are looking for safe and effective ways to prevent or recover from injuries that are affecting their golf or tennis games. This course will provide you with a variety of exercise videos that you can start using TOMORROW to treat your patients!
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Recognize the most common injuries that affect golfers and tennis players alike.
- Implement a prevention program for golfers and tennis players that can put into practice at their local clubs or courses.
- Identify some “warning signs” that may currently be asymptomatic but if left untreated could result in performance reduction or dysfunction.
- Create an active, functional and successful treat plan for a variety of issues that are common for golfers and tennis players of all ages.
