Course Description
Are you ready to learn how to apply evidence regarding neuroplasticity in the clinic tomorrow? Do you know the difference in rehabilitative care for acute vs. chronic stroke; for ischemic vs. hemorrhagic stroke? Do want to provide evidence-based rehabilitation yet are burdened by the constraints of patient care to be creative? Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Relate the principles of neuroplasticity to the aligned concepts in motor learning.
- Identify the common signs of Right Hemisphere Dysfunction and indicated treatment.
- Discuss the mechanisms of and treatment for reduced attention and awareness post stroke.
- Recognize the differences in physiology and management (acute and subacute) for persons with ischemic vs. hemorrhagic stroke.
