Service Delivery with Clinical Considerations for PT/OT/ST, with Special Focus on Group
Course Description
This course focuses on the delivery of care by physical, occupational, and speech therapists. The course will cover individual, group, concurrent, and co-treatment modes of service delivery, with a primary focus on group therapy services. Attendees will learn about the principles that underpin the decisions to treat patients utilizing different modes of delivery, how to bill for these services, and how to document these services, depending on the insurance payer. The course will also review ideas for group therapy that will assist in meeting the needs of the patients being treated and provide the most safe and effective environment to make this happen.

At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Define medical necessity
- Explain different service delivery models
- Recognize appropriate billing guidelines
- Recognize important elements of an effective group program
- Identify appropriate documentation requirements based upon mode of delivery
