The ACL, Ankle & Foot Complex: Research Update on Conventional & Integrated (Yoga) Care
Course Description
This webinar reviews the latest evidence in lower quarter injury prevalence, risk, and management, and gives the clinician the tools necessary for immediate intervention. Clinicians will use case study application(s) via a biopsychosocial and integrated evaluative paradigm that combines physical therapy and yoga (medical therapeutic yoga) for achieving greater overall systemic effects during strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation of the lower quarter.
New research for lower quarter injury prevention and management will be reviewed, including:
- ACL injury
- Achilles tendinosis
- Plantar fasciitis
The biopsychosocial model assists in designing programs for both pathophysiology and prevention based and is supported by the World Health Organization and validated in numerous studies. The course the latest evidence-base and evolves clinical care for a more thorough, holistic approach.

- Summarize indications and contraindications for use of medical yoga in ACL rehabilitation and/or injury prevention.
- List 5 training methods for use in ACL rehabilitation and/or injury prevention.
