Developing Fit Knees: Current Concepts in ACL Injury Prevention
Course Description
The material presented in this webinar is intended to help physical therapists, athletic trainers, personal trainers and strength coaches implement preventative training strategies that can be applied in individual and team settings with minimal exercise equipment. Participants will learn how to utilize dynamic warm-up, plyometrics, deceleration training, agility, strengthening and core training to design a complete evidence-based ACL injury prevention program.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Summarize current research on ACL injury prevention.
- Understand common screening tools used to assess injury risk.
- Link assessment with corrective exercise to eliminate asymmetry and imbalances.
- Design safe, effective exercise programs aimed at improving athletic performance and reducing injury potential.
