This is a course that will allow the participant to better understand evaluation and treatment of the lumbar spine and pelvis with emphasis on differentiation between lumbar and pelvic pain and the use of a classification system to develop treatment plans. The focus will be on adding new knowledge and skills to the novice or intermediate practitioner. Participants will come away from this course with a confident ability to evaluate and treat patients who suffer from low back pain using evidence and inductive reasoning vs. just biomedical knowledge and routines.
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
• SUMMARIZE research findings about muscle activation patterns in the presence of lumbar pain and sacroiliac joint pain.
