Hospital Life: A Week in the Life of an Acute Care Therapist
Course Description
This is an intermediate level 2-hour webinar but the content of this course will be appropriate for new graduates or those who are experienced yet haven’t worked in the acute care setting for quite some time. Even therapists who currently work in acute care would benefit from this course as they may learn a different variation in clinical practice. Additionally, this course will take the attendee on a walk-through down the many long halls in a very large medical facility where they will be exposed to various case studies in orthopedics, neurology, cardiology, and oncology. Imaging studies and lab values will be interspersed throughout the webinar. Lastly, attendees will see how one therapist navigates his way through multiple conversations with physicians, nurses, case managers, social workers, rehab co-workers such as OT and SLP as well as patients and their family members.
