Course Description
Myofascial compression interventions have become a popular treatment among rehabilitation professionals. Part 2 of this series will focus on self-myofascial rolling and tissue floss bands. The latest research evidence, clinical standards, and treatment strategies will be discussed for these two popular interventions.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Explain at least two current scientific theories behind self-myofascial rolling and tissue floss bands.
- Summarize at least three best practice patterns for self-myofascial rolling and tissue floss bands.
- Explain the differences between common indications, precautions, and contraindications for self-myofascial rolling and tissue floss bands.
- Summarize the latest research evidence for self-myofascial rolling and tissue floss bands as a treatment intervention to improve muscle performance and functional movement allowing the client to better engage in meaningful activities.
