Course Description
Part 3 of this Myofascial series will focus on different types of therapeutic taping such as kinesiology tape and sports athletic tape. The latest research evidence, clinical standards, and treatment strategies will be discussed for these popular techniques.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Explain at least two current scientific theories behind therapeutic taping.
- Discuss at least three best practice patterns for kinesiology taping and athletic taping.
- Explain the differences between common indications, precautions, and contraindications for kinesiology taping and athlete taping.
- Summarize the latest research evidence for kinesiology taping and athletic taping as a treatment intervention to control edema and improve pain and performance allowing the client to better engage in meaningful activities.
