Restoring Fit Knees: Current Concepts in ACL Rehabilitation
Course Description
This webinar is intended to provide an overview of the different graft choices, outline the different phases of rehab, demonstrate specific exercises including the use of blood flow restriction training to optimize outcomes, and review return to sport testing algorithms and clinical decision making used to reduce secondary injuries. Course will include an evidence-based protocol and exercise videos.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Describe the rationale for various graft choices
- Develop a safe and effective phase-based exercise program following ACL reconstruction
- Use a multi-modal approach to treatment including manual therapy, modalities, strengthening, plyometrics and movement drills to restore full premorbid function
- Summarize current outcome data with respect to return to sport and injury prevention following surgery
