Rotator Cuff Dysfunction: Injury Prevention & Non-operative Treatment
Course Description
This course will provide clinicians with a thorough overview of rotator cuff dysfunction, specific weight training and exercise related modifications to prevent injuries, and a comprehensive non-operative rehabilitation approach. Method of instruction will include written materials and demonstrative videos.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Understand how to perform a thorough clinical evaluation that examines the entire kinetic chain,
- Determine high risk exercises and implement strategic modifications for injury prevention
- Design evidence-based rehab programs and learn how to progress clients safely back to sport/activity
- Understand how to incorporate the use of dry needling, IASTM, kinesiotape, mobilization and sequential exercise interventions and progressions to achieve optimal outcomes for patients undergoing non-operative care.
