Tests and Measures to Return the Athlete to Sport
Course Description
In various settings of allied healthcare- athletic training, physical therapy, and others- we run into limitations that help objectify an athlete’s capacity to return to sport or more vigorous work. It can also be difficult to have tests and measures compiled in a format that we can implement in various clinical rehab settings.
This course is designed to give the clinician comprehensive and practical testing methods and measurement tools to help validate an athlete’s actual ability to return to sport.
Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the participant will be able to:
- Integrate return to sport testing in a variety of sports, conditions, and with variability for specific populations in an acceptable and effective manner.
- Utilize return to sport testing in a successful manner for the upper extremity.
- Utilize return to sport testing in a successful manner for the lower extremity.
- Explain the impact of video analysis on return to sport testing for an athlete.
- Explain the reliability of evidence for upper and lower extremity return to sport
