Yoga and Multiple Sclerosis
Course Description
This course will cover symptoms of persons with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), including numerous characteristics of the disease that are unique to MS. Challenges for these patients will be highlighted, focusing on physical limitations, functional difficulties, pain, fatigue and common progression of the factors as the disease progresses. Participants will learn different Yoga poses to assist their MS patients.
This course is relevant to therapists & athletic trainers working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. There is a tremendous shortage of healthcare professionals available to patients with MS., particularly in the outpatient setting.
